| Post subject: Tsunami Fund Raiser Sat. 15th of Jan 2005 |
Folks
Saturday the 15th at the Kangaroo from 8pm until midnight , ALL YOU CAN DRINK for 100RMB. Out of this 100 RMB, 50 RMB will be donated into a Tsunami Fund.
We will also come up with a couple of ideas how to raise extra money during the event. This , however, does not mean you are obliged to give anything apart from the 100RMB to get in.
Please keep this thread clean and let's ( again ) do something for a good cause
PM or email me for Ideas that you might have

How about a game of dares?
We could have a list of dares and 'auction' them off with who we would like to see do the dare.
Great idea, Sir Fiddler! |

Is it now the Kangaroo?
100rmb all you can drink is always a good deal so lets all get out there and do something contructive with our Saturday drinking money. |

Villion - your idea of auctioning off some hard-to-find western goods is also excellent! I am sure that there are some smaller items that people can't get here that people would love to have!
Nilly - GC's address is right ... you can just tell the taxi to take you to Yong Jia Lu and Mao Ming Lu. Alternatively, line 1 Metro to Shanxi Road ... walk south on Shanxi Road til you get to Fuxing Road. Turn left onto Fuxing Road, walk to Mao Ming Road, turn right onto Mao Ming Road, at the end of Yong Jia Road, turn right onto Yong Jia Road. Kangaroo will be on your left hand side, in a building, up a few stairs. Walk will take about 20 minutes or so. Not sure if you will be able to take the shortcut between Shanxi Road and Mao Ming Road, so I sent you the long way around.
This is going to be a great event! Yay!!!! |

yah, fiddler,we can show or recommand the stuff we will auction off on the web before the event. then people can think about what they really want carefully and also be a chance for the vendue master to tell the special meaning or value of their stuff.
i am planning and conceiving donation these days. have had some idea and start to finish soon. what is it, secret hahahahaha |

are you planning on conceiving a secret baby, nilly?
I think that some of the things that can be auctioned off also include pranks, deeds and the like that can be done on the spot. For example, bidding for a date with Fiddler or MMM, having sending Caesara or Nilly to Taco Popo for late night snacks, etc. These are just examples and the involved party will have had to agreed in advance. Can't just nominate them and expect them to do it. |

conceiving a secret baby, mag? hmmm, maybe the things i try to make will a bit like a valuable babie of mine.
mag, blame for considering to auction me off how can you endure a naive chick like me go to have the night snack with a middle-aged man(maybe)? er??(unless you will buy me ,i will take you to a great place to have night snacks)
well, i have an excellent idea,we can auction our MAGNOLIA's pretty blond hair. hmmm,or, every one present buy one for 10 rmb. then, if there are 50 people ,we can at least collect 500 rmb.....
mag, prepare to clean and pull your hair out |

nilly, nilly ... if that were to happen, then i would be 50 hairs less on my head. that just won't do!
however, i am willing to do a bit for this, so if you have any suggestions on how i can auction myself, please tell me! nothing immoral or wrong, of course. try as i might, i cannot think of a thing.
ideas for bids? anyone? for yourself, your friends and me? |
