Sent by the Cricket Club Treasurer yesterday to the popes email address.
Holy Father
I know it has been many years since I have used these (catholic) channels, ever since I was molested by the Christian Brothers at St Patrick's College Strathfield at age 12.....you know the one,"chocolate bar for touchie touchie" but it is out of desperation that we now turn to you oh holy one.
My friends (cc'd) are intending a family cricket day for this Saturday and there is prediction of rain, heavy bloody rain.We would appreciate it if you could tell the big fella upstairs to have the storm pass down south or head towards the Philippines.After all they are used to suffering and we are not.We work hard...well most of us and we believe God owes us a weekend of beer drinking, bit of cricket and a leg over in fine weather.
While you are on the pew could you also put a good word in for Stirling Mortlock to have a cracking game on the weekend against those racist and god hating South Africans.Also have New South Wales win the State of Origin next year because you don't want the church full of banana fu##ers with two heads do you?
If you do this we'll be at mass first thing Sunday morning and we will send you a Bashers shirt and you can have the number XVI if you want and open the bowling next week with Deano.

I wonder how much correspondence the Pope/Catholic church/Vatican get a year from people like this?
I would bet that it's 1000's and I further bet that each writer of said email/letter/whatever thinks it's highly original. Even to the point of keeping a copy on his kitchen wall or something.
I further further bet that Jewish or Buddhist organisations/dignitaries get emails like this too but without any shred of humour. Trust the Jews, Chinese or Indians to take all this religious shite seriously. |
