I have been a customer of Benson's since he opened.
He is very experienced and often knows what you want without you having to explain.
I get highlights every month (blond). Once I was not happy with the color (not blond enough) and he redid my hair free of charge (If you come back within the week)
All in all I highly recommend Benson Salon, by far the best hair dresser I have been to in Asia.

i should try that place sometime then. my hair is seriously messed up. it's a bob of mess. the previous hairdresser chopped off my beautiful long hair. =(

How much for just a cut and style? I've been wanting to get a hair dresser here but just a little worried about going to a Chinese hair salon!

I saw a western lady getting hair extensions at the place in the middle on the ground floor in the shopping center next to Pacific Place. It is on the corner of Huang Pi Lu & Huai Hai Lu - the one with the KFC.

Any more recommendations for a place where they do good hair extensions in Shanghai? I'm looking for the funky dread or braid extensions, and want them to LAST AWHILE!! Rolling Eyes

I'm not a great at making hairdressing appointments as my schedule can be erratic at times. Usually I just pop by. Can I do this at Benson or do i need to book in advance?

I've been there 2 weeks ago and didn't pay 150 RMB. I paid something like 70 RMB to cut my hair. Maybe because that wasn't benson himself who takes care of me... dunno. Anyway they are good !

Bensons is a great salon for haircuts and colour. My son and I always go there. The highlights are the best I have ever had in 20 years. It is best to make an appointment if you want Benson although the other guys are great with children/teenagers. Reasonable prices and there is a manicurist as well.

Wouldn't go anywhere else. I tell all my friends to go here!

J05, you promote the saloon like yours else you are holding their shares?
highlight is the best i have ever had in 20 years?----- what the hell is in your mind that you started to dye your hair like 20 years ago and yet you are shouting the greatness of this saloon like a 18-yr-old kid.
