| Post subject: is there a good place to read? |
Hi everyone
Arrived in Shanghai for a week now. interesting but exhausting place. want to find a nice place to read on the weekend. hopefully with big windows, comfortable big sofa and good coffee. it's even better if they have good books.
Any place recommend?
Thanks. |

There's a Starbucks on the second floor of the mall with the big glass ball in Xujiahui that has nice big open windows great for reading. No comfy couches that I recall, but it is very well-lit....and of course, there's SBUX coffee (if that's your sort of fancy). |

i heard barbarossa is a nice lounge, but i don't know how it is for reading. if you find something during the week, please let us know. i'm an avid reader and wouldn't mind going to nice place to sit down and read for the afternoon. |

why not go to Shanghai Library where you would be able to get access to all kinds of books conveniently and enjoy a comfortable enviroment for reading.
Here is the web link: http://www.library.sh.cn/english/ |

Nice lounge for drinking, but between the music and dark atmosphere, I think you would have difficulty getting any reading done. |

that sounds quiet nice, I would like to go too, but how about the trees outside the big window? |
