| Post subject: Z Visa |
Hi,
I just received my working visa today at the Chinese consulate in Paris.
The visa is valid until January 2009. Is this normal?
Thanks for your help. |

Yes.
If indeed what you have is a "z" Visa, this is a single entry Visa that you use to enter China as a precursor to getting a Work Permit and a Resident Permit |

What platl10 says is correct.......it just means you must enter China before the end of January 2009, if you don't you'll have to reapply. Once you enter I think you get 30 days to convert it into a work permit and residents permit, if you are working for a company that is accustomed to hiring foreigners in China then they will probably deal with all that for you..... |
