i think "decent" means having a stable job(usually on an expat's package), single, not too old, white, one woman guy, looking for traditional Chinese girls to get married, better no smoking, no drinking... Am i right, Sunny? if that's what you mean, i will say the chance is extremely low. |

Hopefully then chances are low. I am NOT a cash provider for a piece of MEAT.
If/when just hungry, I know how to get food and dont need to advertise or pay for it.

Thank you for your replies.
"DECENT" means a lot, as you mentioned there, with a stable and good job, smart, caring, nice, not snobish, with passion in work and life, no need to be rich but know how to enjoy life.
Low chance? |

y very very low.
All the foreign guys here are crooked, cold, outcast from their own countries, alcoholic, snobbish, playboys, bad-tempered, color wolves, evil-minded....
Do i sound pro-expat any more, Littlefox? |

Why does it have to be FOREIGN?
FOREIGNER doesn't necessary mean nicer, smarter, and caring, and richer! Guys are guys regardless of nationalities! I believe some local guys have these kind of qualities!
By the way, I am no foreginer hater cuz I, myself, am an expat as well! |

No Sunny... your chance is not low. Look at that building next to Hengshan 41? You might want to try going there.
That also applies to you Benoist! |
Which building ? Next to ? Opposite would be the community church ?

Well I doubt that Church should be labelled as the place to go to find a CASH provider. Plus, I am a Roman Catholic.
And besides, I am still not sure of what a Community Church is. Shouldnt it be called a Protestant Church ?

Well, no, as Sunny puts it :"DECENT means a lot, as you mentioned there, with a stable and good job,..." referring to xixi's guess on "decent" being "stable job(usually on an expat's package)".
Yeah, St Peter.
b.
PS : just to be sure then Cob4lt, Community always mean Protestant (and only ?) |

Xixi, that sounds like you want to edge sunny out of the expat market.
Sunny, there are tons of expat guys in the city but finding good ones from them is definitely a tough job takes time and intelligence. |

Oh Pullease. Sunny, do you really think that by asking a question like that you will have a wholesome, healthy, rich Laowai Prince Charming dangled in front of you ? You mention "decent" in your post. I presume you have been burned by someone in the past.... forget the foreigners and find a 'decent' Chinese guy. You may be happier. |

My first reaction to this was mild offense and a little surprise, considering her other posts, but then I think maybe that's really based on her experience. Is it really that bad there? I'd hate for everyone to assume this about me on sight, but then hey, it should be easy to make a good impression by proving them wrong and behaving myself, I guess.
Still, this doesn't sound very good. I hope this isn't very close to the truth. |

My experience with foreigners here? Worse
Jeff, don't get pissed off by my post. I think Sunny's question "where to find decent foreign guys in this city" has implied that there r not a lot of "decent" ones here. Just like Zak said she might be burned by someone in the past. So i put the post to make her implication clear. Someone on this site also consider me as pro-expat, so I would like to show my backbone this time. And it is always safer to blame the foreigners here. There is a song called " Blame Canada", so probably we can change it to "Blame the Foreigners" here.

Yeah, whoa, that explains that. I really was surprised since it seemed so out of character for you. Makes sense how you explain it. (I do get the distinct impression that it is true about a large portion of expats there though - a shame if it's true since I think our two countries should really be trying to work together and that kind of stuff ain't helping). |

Yeah, I think us decent guys have an uphill battle fighting against the nasty images created by the likes of Nick-La, Sinsabit et all... Seriously, i think we are heavily outnumbered. |

Well, I hope I can behave decently at least - can't honestly say I won't fail at times. I really can't go along with pointing fingers at others by name here, but I'm hearing your point.
Alright then, guess I gotta just do my best to behave well and let come what may. (Part of me really wants to send a couple folks - not referring to Nick or Sinsabit here - to Texas for some cultural "education". That kinda cr*p don't fly there). |

Be enough decent yourself - "物以类聚,人以群分" (Help!!! any good translation in English?? Jane_ca?!!).
However, may I ask why you are looking for a decent foreign guys? for what? I believe there are enough decent foreign guys even in pubs and bars just they wont bother to talk to you because they dont think it is easy to find decent Chinese girls esp. in bars or pubs either.
Those chinese gals that whore themselves and those foreigne guys that behaves sleazily and low ruin both parties' reputation.
Indecency somewhat is in human's nature, that is why we need to be educated and cultivated to be decent. It takes a lot to be a decent person, but it takes maybe only 5 minutes to get back to our indecency nature, esp. in an social environment seems have huge tolerance for and in fondness of bad foreign guys. Thus, even a decent guy back his home country may behave indecently here.
Agree with Zak - try looking among Chinese guys; if you have to look among foreigners, posting something as such wouldn't work - if they know you are looking for them, good chance is they will behave bad on you - I guess it maybe is a bit too hard for them as well to tell a decent Chinese gal from a gold-digger as there are so many here. Be patient while praying for good luck, that says, you will have to be prepared for the worst - back and take a Chinese guy, or be single.
